Savernake Knives

Savernake Knives are made in Marlborough, United Kingdom

Blades are made using Swedish Steel by the Swedish steel manufacturing company known as Sandvik. Their latest steel, with a dash of extra carbon, is referred to as 14c28N (wish you can read more about it here)

Handles are made using a variety of different handles cut on localized CNC machines. It appears they use Micarta, G10 & Richlite, Corian or Durat.

The Best Knife Maintenance approach is closer to the Japanese knife approach as the higher carbon content lead the 14c28n steel closer to the Japanese than the Western approach.
